Medicross consist of private primary medical, dental and complimentary healthcare services through their 70 medical and dental centres throughout South Africa. Energy Partners has been involved in successfully completing a sustainability project for Medicross across South Africa, comprising of retrofitting most of the clinic luminaires with energy efficient luminaires. The sustainability project included the retrofit of existing lighting infrastructure with new energy efficient lighting infrastructure. The project included the installation of approximately 10 000 luminaires in 28 fully functioning and operational clinics around South Africa.

“Upon successful completion of the project and due to Energy Partners meeting and exceeding the client’s expectations, a variation order was provided in order to extend the project to a further 14 clinics. The combined project had a reduction in consumption which resulted in savings of 608 147 kWh per year with a payback of 4.5 years.”
