Centralised Active Energy Management Strategy
Energy Partners has been involved in successfully completing a sustainability project for Pick n Pay Distribution, comprising retrofitting the existing luminaires with energy efficient luminaires at two of their largest distribution centres in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. The Johannesburg DC will have a consumption reduction of 480 kW which will result in a project savings of 4 559 152 kWh per year with a payback of 2.2 years. The Cape Town DC will have a consumption reduction of 255 kW which will result in a project savings of 2 135 101 kWh per year with a payback of 2.7 years.
