Reliable industrial heat without capital investment.

Under the Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) model, EP Thermal owns and operates the thermal plant on your site, supplying steam or hot water via a structured service agreement.

We take responsibility for capital investment, engineering, fuel strategy, performance and maintenance. Clients contract for delivered heat, not equipment.

Our approach is technology-agnostic. Each solution is engineered around site-specific demand profiles, fuel availability and lifecycle economics, ensuring long-term efficiency and operational stability.

Owner-operated steam and hot water systems.

EP Thermal designs and supplies complete steam and hot water plants for client ownership. 
From new installations to reconditioned boilers and upgraded combustion systems, we engineer each solution around site-specific demand, fuel availability and long-term performance requirements. 
Our scope includes equipment selection, detailed engineering, installation and commissioning, 
ensuring systems are correctly specified, compliant and built for operational reliability. 

Temporary steam and hot water capacity.

EP Thermal provides rapid-deployment steam and hot water systems for planned shutdowns, 
emergency replacement or temporary capacity requirements.
 
Our rental units are engineered for safe integration with existing infrastructure, allowing operations to continue with minimal disruption. 
Whether supporting maintenance outages, bridging capacity gaps or responding to unexpected plant failure, rental solutions provide short- to medium-term flexibility without long-term capital commitment.
 
Installation, commissioning and technical support are managed by our engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable operation throughout the rental period. 

Renewable industrial heat from biomass and biogas.

EP Thermal designs and integrates bioenergy systems that convert biomass and biogas into reliable industrial steam and hot water. These systems allow industrial facilities to reduce dependence on  fossil fuels while maintaining the stable, high-temperature heat required for production processes.
Bioenergy systems require careful integration of fuel handling, combustion and heat transfer systems.

Bioenergy can be implemented as a client-owned installation or structured through outsourced 
delivery models, depending on operational and capital priorities. 
In many regions of South Africa, significant biomass resources exist in the form of forestry residues, agricultural by-products and invasive plant species. The Western Cape has a substantial supply of invasive alien vegetation that can be converted into usable biomass fuel, creating an opportunity to produce industrial heat using locally sourced renewable fuels.
